Welcome to the 2025 WNC Wild Ones Native Plant Sale
This year, we are offering 29 species of plants native to NC, with most found in the mountains. They have been grown from seed by WNC Wild Ones member Adrienne O’Brien, a retired horticulturist who worked for the University of Michigan for 36 years. Check out the Gallery for what Adrienne has been growing! The photos were taken in early August, they will grow a lot more before the September pick up. For more information about individual species, take a look at Flora of the Southeastern United States
You can order online using the form below, or send an email to Adrienne at [email protected] listing the plants you would like and the quantity of each.
NOTE: This year, we upgraded the final pot size to 2.5″ by 3.5″. We are very happy with the quality of these plants and know that you will be thrilled as well!! Check out the Gallery for individuals of each species.
Top: 2.5″; Bottom: 1.5″; Height: 3.5″. The plants and roots are very strong and will grow well next summer.

Once again, a portion of the net profits will be donated to WNC Wild Ones for programs and scholarships. The 2024 Plant Sale donated $500 to the chapter. This year, Wild Ones WNC gave $1300 to cover 2 full scholarships to the 2025 Cullowhee Native Plant Conference. Wow! Email Adrienne at [email protected] with questions or comments.
When you are sent to PayPal you will see the payment is going to Adrienne O’Brien.
She is our wonderful Propagator and Grower – it’s all ok!
